A Poem About John

John woke one morning without a wife

He wanted to know what happened to his life

So off he set to reluctantly write a journal

Good God, he thought, this might be atypical.

He wrote and wrote and found his mother was to blame

Same old story, oh what a shame

But he continued writing “Journal According to John”

And found some problems other than the maternal one;

Because John began to look at himself

In his own thoughts and actions he began to delve

His mother may have caused him a bit of melancholy

But he was the one who fell into folly.

So John began to turn his head around

For in the journal he had found a path of his own

He would move away from maternal condemnation

He was beginning to find his own salvation.

Journal According to John

A new process; a new plan.
