I wanted to explore vessels because I am always curious to know what’s on the inside. A piece like “falling into you” is more about two people being attracted to each other but shown as bottles.
My exploration is always asking questions like what’s on the inside of this person? What makes them tick? What is this person’s history? What are they carrying around?
I use lots of shapes in my work mainly to explore thoughts and to add texture. Designs are a part of the aesthetic appeal but also help to explore the limitlessness of a person. Overlapping of bottles means we are all connected in some way.
